You’ll hit up historic markets, enjoy soaring city & sea views, and pop into exciting museums. Unless you are a major fan of one of the exhibiting artists, I wouldn't make a special trip just to visit this gallery - instead it's something that is nice to do as part of a wider visit to the University of Washington campus. This 24-hour Seattle itinerary focuses mostly on attractions and tourist sites within the city center. Even if that sweet treat comes soft-serve swirled into a fish-shaped waffle cone. After checking out iconic attractions like the Space Needle and Pike Place Market, get your dose of arts and culture explore the Seattle Art Museum, Capitol. Ride the elevator to the top for stunning views of Seattle and the surrounding area. Often different rooms are used for whole installations. Kerry Park is located in a very residential neighborhood, but it offers great views of the Seattle skyline as well as. The gallery runs exhibitions of contemporary art. The trip across the water is only about 15 minutes. Fewer people the rest of the year, but bundle up it gets chilly down there. The Henry Art Gallery is on the campus of the University of Washington. During the summer its best to go during a weekday morning or afternoon to avoid the crowds. ![]()
